Schoolchildren who burned a helicopter in Noyabrsk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, were dragged into committing a crime, teenagers were in good standing. This was announced on September 11 during a meeting of the district government by the governor of the region Dmitry Artyukhov.
"In fact, teenagers were dragged into committing a serious crime for a monetary reward. It is obvious that they were controlled from the outside, and now their destinies may turn out quite differently. The guys were in good standing, participated in school life, and nevertheless such informational interaction for easy earnings led to such serious consequences," he was quoted as saying in a message on the telegram channel of the government of the Yamalo—Nenets Autonomous District.
In addition, Artyukhov stressed that in connection with the incident, "there are questions about the safety of our key transport facilities." He expressed confidence that serious work will be carried out with the owner of the airport to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
"Even if the children were able to get into the territory, what can we say about trained adults. Obviously, despite the efforts that everyone is making, there are still weak points here — we need to draw all the necessary conclusions from this," the governor said.
Artyukhov also instructed the Commission on juvenile Affairs to carry out the necessary work, as well as to pay special attention to the education system so that prevention of such cases is carried out, and "digital hygiene lessons are a permanent part" of the training.
Earlier in the day it became known that two teenagers of 13 and 14 years burned a helicopter at an airfield in the city of Noyabrsk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It was noted that the boys entered a private airfield at night, poured gasoline on a helicopter belonging to Utair, and set it on fire. At the same time, teenagers received burns to their faces and hands. In addition, it was clarified that the boys were persuaded to commit this crime in the messenger, they were promised a large sum of money, Izvestia clarifies.
