The commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, spoke about the situation on the Kursk front, where since August 6, Russian fighters have been repelling the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We butt heads with them every day. But the line of engagement does not change significantly. The enemy still has a resource, we understand this and are doing our job so as not to incur heavy losses," the KP commander quoted him as saying.
As the newspaper notes, Akhmat daily knocks out from 10 to 30 pieces of enemy equipment on its site. The total number of burned enemy vehicles in the Kursk direction exceeded half a thousand.
In such a situation, there should be a lot of prisoners. But in combat conditions it is difficult to bring them out alive.
"Taking prisoners is not a problem. It is difficult to protect them from their own companions. Ukrainian formations are trying to destroy those who surrender and strike at them. On their own," said Alaudinov.
