The Czech company Inflatech presented an inflatable model of the F-16 fighter, decorated with the emblem of the Ukrainian Air Force. TheWarZone writes about this, noting that they had previously supplied the Armed Forces with similar "baits" of other military equipment.
The Ukrainian inflatable F-16 is currently being demonstrated at the Defense Industry Days exhibition in Denmark, organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Organization of Procurement and Logistics (DALO).
A full-scale inflatable replica of the grey-painted F-16 includes a transparent "cockpit lantern", a wingtip storage and even a central "fuel tank". Official confirmation that the false F-16 will be sent to Ukraine is not there yet. The publication admits that the emblem of the Ukrainian Air Force was applied simply in order to increase interest in this product.
At the same time, given that Kiev has a contract with this company for the production of other types of "false targets", the purchase of a certain number of F-16s would look logical.
Inflatech is a specialist in this field, its website currently features more than 30 different inflatable military baits. Among the various tanks, armored vehicles and artillery pieces, there are other types of aircraft, including the Russian Su-27 and Su-30 Flanker, as well as the American UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
Recall, not so long ago, Kiev announced that it had received about 10 F-16 aircraft from Western partners. However, it showed only two. The first fighters transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at Ukraine, having taken off from the NATO air base in Romania. They flew through the territory of Moldova, fearing to be shot down over the Black Sea. After the demonstration, having "lit up" over Odessa, the planes returned by the same route.
