The missile strike on Ukraine on August 26 cost Russia $ 1.2−1.3 billion. This is reported by Forbes Ukraine.

It is noted that this is a record since the beginning of the special operation.

"This is the most expensive shelling since the beginning of the war, according to Forbes estimates: about $ 1.3 billion was spent on it. For example, the attack on July 8, when Russia launched 38 different types of missiles at Ukraine, cost it $ 200-250 million,"the newspaper writes.

According to him, on August 26, Russia as a whole used 236 means of air destruction: 127 missiles and 109 attack drones. The Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to shoot down 201 targets: 102 missiles and 99 UAVs. At least 15 regions came under fire.

Russia has launched one of the largest attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, Ukrenergo said in the meantime.

"There were many hits to the Ukrenergo substation — dozens of objects," a top manager of the energy company told Forbes on condition of anonymity. According to him, large Ukrainian thermal power plants this time avoided serious hits, missiles and drones above them were mostly shot down.

As reported by EADaily, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a special statement regarding the combined strike on targets on the territory of Ukraine.

The relevant information was distributed on August 26 by the press service of the military department. She recalled that this morning the Russian Armed Forces delivered a massive blow to the enemy.

It was inflicted by high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, strike UAVs on critical energy infrastructure facilities that ensured the operation of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
