Two border guards from Ossetia escaped from the encirclement on the Kursk front, knocking out an enemy armored personnel carrier and capturing a prisoner, said reserve officer Oleg Marzoev.
"Two more of our people came out of the encirclement with a fight! This time, after 20 days of fighting, they broke through to their own. Also, information is now being received that, leaving the encirclement, our border guards were able to knock out the enemy's armored personnel carrier and captured a prisoner! And they came out themselves, and thanks to them, they will soon exchange more of us from captivity, return to our homeland!" said Marzoev in his telegram channel.
He noted that three days ago, on August 23, two border guards also left the encirclement. At first the four of them were in the same group, but at some point they split up.
"And initially we expected four fighters to come out, but two came out. They said they split up. Then about those who came out today, there was information that they were in captivity. And not only were they not in captivity, they took the prisoner themselves," Marzoev stressed.
