Rostov did not teach anything: Employees of IK-19 were taken hostage in the Volgograd region

In correctional colony No. 19 in the village of Surovikino, Volgograd region, several Islamist prisoners took hostages at a meeting of the disciplinary commission, there are victims. This was announced today, August 23, according to the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

"Currently, measures are being taken to free the hostages," the report says.

A criminal case has been opened in the TFR on the fact of hostage-taking. Telegram channels publish videos showing the bodies of murdered employees.

Those who took hostages in prison, apparently, are radicals of the ISIS movement banned in the territory of the Russian Federation❶. As EADaily reported, on the morning of June 16, ISIS members❶ from SIZO-1 in the center of Rostov-on-Don took three employees hostage. The criminals demanded to provide a car, a "green corridor" and the opportunity to fly out of the country. Negotiations with them did not lead to anything, the assault began. All six terrorists were eliminated in three minutes. The hostages were not seriously injured.

Later it turned out that the terrorists had opened the window with a hacksaw, which was sold to them in the detention center for 2500 rubles. The prisoners said that several employees of the SIZO organized an illegal supply channel for prohibited items.
