Our troops liberated the Desired, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces exceeded 2,000 militants per day

The Russian army continues to methodically destroy militants and military equipment of the Kiev regime. Over the past day, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas, in the Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions amounted to 2,060 people. This was reported today, August 21, in the TC of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The units of the North group of forces in the Volchansk and Liptsovsk directions defeated the formations of the 43rd mechanized and 92nd assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 36th Marine Brigade and the 13th brigade of the National Guard in the areas of the settlements of Zolochiv, Liptsy and Volchansk of the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 100 military personnel, three vehicles, a 152-mm D-20 howitzer and two 122-mm D-30 howitzers.

The units of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 14th, 43rd, 66th, 116th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 110th air Defense Brigade in the areas of Tabayevka, Peschanoe, Petropavlovsk, Kharkov region, Stelmakhovka, Chervonaya Dibrova LNR and Torsk DNR. Six counterattacks of the assault groups of the 115th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 110th Air Defense Brigade and the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade were repelled*. The enemy lost up to 470 servicemen, a tank, four vehicles, a 155-mm M198 howitzer made in the USA and a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer.

The units of the "Southern" Grouping of troops improved their tactical situation, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 28th, 30th, 32nd mechanized, 56th motorized Infantry, 72nd airborne Assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 116th Air Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Perezdnoye, Grigorovka, Orekhovo-Vasilevka, Hours Yar, Kurdyumovka and Konstantinovka DNR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 700 servicemen, three vehicles, a 155-mm M777 howitzer made in the USA, a 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, two 152-mm D-20 howitzers, a 122-mm D-30 howitzer, two 105-mm M119 guns made in the USA, a 122-mm multiple launch rocket system RAK-SA-12 Croatian-made fire, two electronic warfare stations. The ammunition depot was destroyed.

As a result of active actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Zhelannoye DPR. In addition, the formations of the 23rd, 53rd, 151st mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 15th brigade of the National Guard were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbinovka, Tarasovka, Zhuravka, Kalinovo, Dzerzhinsk and Grodovka of the DPR. Six counterattacks of units of the 47th, 150th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 14th brigade of the National Guard and the assault brigade "Lyut" of the National Police of Ukraine were repelled. The enemy's losses during the day amounted to more than 630 servicemen, a Cossack armored combat vehicle, 12 vehicles, 155-mm howitzers: M777 and M198 manufactured in the USA, 152-mm Hyacinth-B cannon, 152-mm D-20 gun, 152-mm Msta-B howitzer and four 122- mm howitzers D-30.

The units of the Vostok group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 106th and 125th air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane, Ugledar, Prechistovka and Velikaya Novoselka of the DPR. Four counterattacks of formations of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 125th Air Defense Brigade were repelled. The enemy lost up to 130 servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, five vehicles, a 155-mm Braveheart self-propelled artillery installation and a 155-mm FH-70 howitzer manufactured in the UK, as well as a 122-mm D-30 howitzer.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the 65th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 39th Coastal Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Malye Shcherbaki and Novodanilovka, Zaporozhye region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 30 military personnel, five vehicles and two 152-mm D-20 howitzers.

Operational-tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a fuel depot, hit the accumulation of manpower and military equipment of the enemy in 131 areas.

By means of air defense, seven French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, the Neptune-MD anti-ship missile, 15 HIMARS missiles manufactured in the USA and 63 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.
