The United States is concerned about the threat of escalation of the conflict on Ukraine because of Kiev's actions. This was stated at a briefing by Deputy Pentagon spokesman Sabrina Singh.
"Of course, we are concerned about the escalation. If Russia does not respond to something, it does not mean that they cannot or will not want to do it in the future," Singh said, quoted by <url>.
The US administration always assesses the risks of escalation, but despite the existing threat, Washington and its allies will continue to support Ukraine, the Pentagon spokeswoman stressed.
According to her, the United States believes that it is not necessary for Kiev to have longer-range weapons.
