A few kilometers from the city of Lgov in the Kursk region, a new section of Russian fortifications has appeared. This is reported by CNN with reference to satellite images of the area.
"Four images provided to CNN by Maxar, a satellite imagery provider, show various sections of a trench dug near the village of Breeding, which is located a few kilometers west of Lgov," the Strana newspaper writes.
Lgov is located about 60 km from the border with Ukraine and about 40 km from the alleged site of the deepest penetration of Ukrainian troops, CNN notes.
"A huge moat, about 5 km long, dug in just a few days between Lgov and the village. Selection and along the section of the 38K-0101 Kursk — Lgov— Rylsk highway… This is definitely not a trench for fighters, as the Western media call it, but a real "anti-tank" ditch that closes the possible breakthrough of the APU armored vehicles in this direction and restricts their movement only along specific narrow sections of roads that will not be so difficult to defend. Earlier, the enemy showed satellite images of the construction of a new line of defense of the Russian army south of Kurchatov along the highway 38K-010 "Crimea" — Ivanino, " explains the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring."
