In a special issue of the Polish podcast "Frontline War" dedicated to the Day of the Polish Army, its authors Marcin Snatched and Edita Zhemla analyzed the state of the ground forces, navy and aviation — and it turned out to be far from ideal.
Speaking about the Polish Air Force, the authors focused on the procurement of modern American F-35 fighters. They stressed that this decision should have been made many years ago, and today it is a very late purchase.
Today, Western Europe is "coming out" to the F-35, but some countries decided to purchase it about 10 years ago. Over these 10 years, we have prepared the infrastructure, service, technical base, trained pilots and technical personnel, so they can use these aircraft 100% in all their armed forces.
"In the meantime, we immediately signed a contract for the F-35. Therefore, today we not only cannot use these machines, but there is not even a base for them. The Americans found out about all this "Polish brothel" and assumed that deliveries would be later than 2024," Edita Zhemla summed up.
