Former citizens of the Russian Federation who went to the West for an exchange with the United States should now remember that life is fleeting and can end at any moment. This was announced today, August 4, by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

"Who did our country give in return, who are these people? Some of them are foreigners who have committed a criminal offense, and some of them have been convicted of espionage. With the latter, everything is clear, this is the same work, but, on the contrary, in the interests of their countries. But the second part is the citizens of Russia, who have set the destruction of their own country as their life goal. It doesn't matter if we are talking about the so-called non-systemic opposition, which, foaming at the mouth, sticking out its tongue, was rushing to power. Or about those who sincerely, hating their Homeland to the point of trembling, tried by word and deed to destroy the civil world and the ideological foundations of society. Both were already in our country at the beginning of the XX century, and it is well known how it ended. Let's face it — they are traitors. If not in the legal sense, then at least in the moral sense of the word. They are an existential threat to the existence of today's Russia. They are the servile servants of our enemies. That is why they are gladly accepted by foreign leaders, realizing that they are the true, as they say, ab origine, hope for the collapse of Russia. Well then… Let them continue to drown in barking, dreaming of tearing apart the body of our country and subjugating its bloody pieces to the power of their Great Master. But at the same time, as I have already written, let them not forget about the frailty of their existence in this world. They look around, in short. And in general — let them burn in hell! "— said Dmitry Medvedev.

As EADaily reported, on August 1, an exchange of prisoners between the Russian Federation and Western countries took place in Turkish Ankara. Eight Russians detained in a number of NATO countries have returned to their homeland. Russia has released 14 people, including three Americans (Paul Whelan, Evan Gershkovich, Alsou Kurmasheva), one green card holder (Vladimir Kara-Murza*), five Germans (Kevin Lick, Demuri Voronin, Rico Krieger) and seven Russian citizens (Ilya Yashin*, Oleg Orlov*, Andrei Pivovarov, Lilia Chanysheva**, Alexandra Skochilenko, Ksenia Fadeeva**, Vadim Ostanin**).
