All military personnel who, from August 1 to December 31, 2024, will sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense to serve in the SMO zone will be paid 400 thousand rubles at a time. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, it is published on the official portal of legal information.
The authorities of the regions are recommended to pay contract workers another 400 thousand from local budgets. Payments will be assigned to conscripts, conscripts, other Russian citizens, as well as foreigners who this year will sign a contract for military service in the territories of Donetsk, Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and Ukraine.
The document notes that those who receive this payment will not be given another one, established by the decree of November 2, 2022.
The Government should determine the procedure for making a one-time cash payment established by the decree, as well as provide financing for expenses related to its implementation.
