The State Duma is asking to check the actions of singer Lolita Milyavskaya for compliance with Russian legislation. The corresponding appeal was sent by the head of the State Duma Committee for Family Protection Nina Ostanina to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
The appeal states that in July 2024, at concerts in Moscow and In St. Petersburg, Lolita performed the Cadillac song by rapper Alisher Morgenstern❶ (Valeev❶), as well as the song "Monologue" from the repertoire of Alla Pugacheva, who left Russia and "indulged in expressions discrediting our people and country," RIA Novosti reports.
Ostanina stressed that videos with fragments of the speech, which caused the anger of Russian citizens, were replicated on the web.
"The singer behaved provocatively, shouted at the audience, performed obscene songs, which directly contradicts the basic principles of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 809 of November 9, 2022," Ostanina believes.
"Taking into account these circumstances, I ask you, dear Vladimir Alexandrovich, to instruct you to check the actions of singer Lolita Markovna Milyavskaya for compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation," the appeal says.
As reported by EADaily, Lolita previously explained the performance of a song by a foreign rapper. She claims that the parody of his track was created three years ago, and from that moment on, the artist always performs a verse of this composition at her concerts. The singer urged not to attribute any additional provocative meanings to her actions and promised that "there will be no more."
