Former US President and presidential candidate Donald Trump announced a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky, calling the conversation "very good."
"Zelensky and I had a very good phone call earlier today. He congratulated me on the very successful Republican National Convention and the fact that I became the Republican nominee for (the post of) president of the United States," said a statement on Trump's page on the Truth Social network.
Earlier, Trump assured that, if elected, he would put an end to every international conflict in the world "created by the current administration" of Joe Biden, including the Ukrainian one. The former owner of the White House promised during the election debate on June 27 that he would reach a settlement of this conflict even before his possible re-election and taking the presidential oath on January 20, 2025. At the same time, he stressed that the conflict on Ukraine "would never have happened" if Moscow had respected the American president.
