Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, said that if the relations between Armenia and Russia will deteriorate, "There will be no Armenia at all."
On April 10, the public and business forum "Eurasia - the territory of traditional values" began its work at the National Center "Russia". According to RIA Novosti, Simonyan moderated the panel debate "New meanings for the development of Eurasian media partnership."
"If, God forbid, unfriendly relations are established between Russia and Armenia, let's say… Russia, of course, will be very sad. But Armenia, most likely, will not exist at all. That's the horror," Simonyan said during the forum.
On March 26, the Armenian Parliament adopted a law on the country's intention to join the European Union. Russia considers this situation as the beginning of Yerevan's withdrawal from the EAEU, since simultaneous membership in the EU and the EAEU is impossible.
