Russia is not going to participate in events like the Ukrainian peace summits, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told RIA Novosti, commenting on Kiev's plans to invite Moscow to the second such summit.
"We do not accept such ultimatums and we are not going to participate in such "summits"," the deputy minister said.
According to him, "everything is very clear about the content of such an event." There will be "the old rhetoric in vain counting on pushing through the absolutely dead-end and ultimatum "formula"" of Vladimir Zelensky and "other settlement initiatives" will be ignored.
Earlier, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that Ukraine intends to hold a second peace summit before November this year, when presidential elections will be held in the United States, and wants to invite Russia there. Some interlocutors from among American officials expressed doubts about holding a conference with the participation of both Kiev and Moscow.
The first peace summit was held in Switzerland on June 15-16 without the participation of Russia. Over 90 States and eight international organizations took part in it.
