Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a treaty with Syria on extension of the Russian Navy base at the Syrian port of Tartus. The document signed in January is published in the State Duma database.
The document also settles the question of Russian navy ships into Syria’s territorial sea, national waters and ports.
Russian Deputy Defense Minister, State Secretary Nikolay Pankov is appointed official representative of the Russian president at the parliament for this agreement.
