Growing offensive potential of the USA and NATO near Russian borders poses threat not only to Russia, but its allies as well, said Nikolay Patrushev, Russia’s Security Council Secretary while speaking at a meeting of security councils’ heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Tajikistan.
As Patrushev noted, “indirect actions” have become common with countries struggling for their interests. It means using protest actions of local population, radical and extremist groups, private military campaigns.
According to the Security Council secretary, the so-called “Arab spring”, the developments in Syria and Iraq, the situation in South Caucasus and Ukraine have demonstrated that new military threats arise and drift into the media scene.
