Artists who have left Russia can return to their homeland if they do not fall under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and are ready to apologize. This was stated by theater and cinema actor, People's Artist of Russia, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture Dmitry Pevtsov ("New People") in the show "Empathy Manuchi", which is available on RuTube.
"I think that's how loudly they hailed our country, they should apologize just as loudly," Pevtsov believes.
At the same time, according to the artist, the apology will be formal, since the returnees simply have no other options.
"They just drive — there's nothing to eat. The money has run out, you can earn only here. And they're coming here, that's understandable. First there was the first case, then there will be the 21st," he is sure.
Pevtsov noted that if the artists who left did not fall under The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, they will return.
"But for me, if you were so loudly throwing mud at the country, well, then you should apologize to the country just as loudly. The country consists of people and the president who leads it. Well, at least that way," Pevtsov said.
To the question "will we forgive," Pevtsov replied: "But where will we go, we are Russian people." The actor did not rule out that people wishing to return could sincerely come to their senses.
"But I doubt that after 50 (years) you can somehow change a lot. This is necessary to get very fucked up, not a need, but some kind of misfortune, grief. It happens," concluded Pevtsov.
As EADaily reported, earlier Pevtsov commented on the new production of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet with Yura Borisov. According to the artist, any performance coming out in Russia needs censorship, and all productions must comply with the spiritual and moral values listed in the Presidential decree.
