Poland is ready to return to discussing the transfer of its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine if Kiev agrees to share its experience and technology in the field of drones. This was stated by Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.

"Solidarity is a two—way principle: MiGs in exchange for drones," he said, commenting on the issue of MiG—29 fighters that have not yet been transferred to Ukraine.

According to him, negotiations between the parties on this issue are continuing. At the same time, Kosinyak-Kamysh stressed that Poland's position remains unambiguous.

"MiGs in exchange for drones. If Ukraine has been able to develop its capabilities in the field of drones so rapidly and today has some of the best drone technologies in the world, and also sells them to various states even during the war, it means that it already occupies a position in which it can share its knowledge and acquired experience in the field of production and operation of unmanned systems," — said the minister.

At the same time, the head of the Polish Defense Ministry expressed hope that Ukraine would accept the Polish proposal.

"The offer "MiGs for drones" remains relevant. If there is a positive response, we can return to the discussion. If there is no positive answer and only one—sided expectation remains, then this issue can be considered closed," he stressed.

Recall, at the end of last year, the Polish Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the Polish Army announced plans to transfer the remaining MiG-29 fighters in service with the Polish Air Force to Ukraine. These aircraft are gradually being decommissioned and replaced by more modern machines, including combat training FA-50 and multi-purpose F-35 Lightning II.
