The United States did not join Kiev's statement on the situation on Ukraine, which was read out at the UN by Ukrainian Permanent Representative Andriy Melnyk.

According to the TASS news agency, this statement was announced by the permanent representative of Ukraine the day before at the headquarters of the world organization.

"We call for a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and also emphasize the urgent need to take concrete humanitarian measures," Melnyk said.

According to him, a total of 47 countries joined the statement, including Australia, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Hungary and Slovakia. In addition, he was supported by the European Union as an association. However, the United States was not included in the list of supporters.

As EADaily reported, earlier United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a statement on Ukraine, in which he claimed that the White House intends to continue to contribute to the settlement of the conflict. At the same time, he did not condemn the strikes on Kiev and did not promise Ukraine Patriot missiles.
