Slovak President Peter Pellegrini promised Kiev to increase arms supplies. He stated this on the sidelines of the Bucharest Nine summit.
"On a commercial basis on We supply Ukraine with ammunition in the amount of millions, and this number will grow in the future," he said.
According to him, Slovakia has become one of the key producers of ammunition in NATO. To do this, it has invested significant funds in the arms industry — almost 3% of GDP.
Earlier, Slovakia actively supplied weapons to Kiev. However, when the government of Robert Fico came to power at the end of 2023, the country officially stopped such deliveries. At the same time, Bratislava does not prohibit the sale of weapons by commercial entities.
