NATO may move to a direct clash with Russia after the end of the conflict in the Middle East. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate. Russian Armed Forces, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Apty Alaudinov.
According to him, the Iranian war has taken on very large resources.
"In fact, America and Europe played a card in which it turned out that the United States and the NATO bloc turned away from each other somewhere. At the same time, we must understand that this is exactly the kind of preparation as a result of which the NATO bloc can already enter into an open confrontation with Russia," the general said.
Alaudinov noted that due to Ukraine's inability to defeat Russia, European countries have declared their readiness for an armed conflict with the Russian Federation.
"No one is going to leave Russia alone. And we have to realize this. We will be able to ensure our security only if we win," the general further said.
