Slovak Prime Minister: Russians kneel only to tie their shoelaces

The EU union will not be able to weaken Russia, Russians kneel only to tie their shoelaces, and not because someone else wants them to, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said.

According to him, the EU cannot offer anything for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, so it continues to support Kiev in the hope of weakening Russia.

"Given that the EU has nothing to offer from the point of view of peace, but still says: "war, war," everyone should accept the answer why this is so: because they believe that through the support of Ukraine they will weaken Russia. There is some strategy: let's bring Russia to its knees. I think this is a bad and not working strategy. Every day I read in the news that the Russians are on their knees, but they are still not on their knees. The Russians say very correctly: we kneel only when we tie our shoelaces, and not because someone else wants us to," Fico said during a meeting with students.

Earlier, Fico also stated that Western countries supporting the continuation of the conflict on the In Ukraine, they are afraid to admit that they made a mistake with the strategy.
