Russia does not intend to be flexible for everyone, and especially for those European countries that will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with their airspace for strikes on its territory.
This warning was voiced in an interview with the agency "Vesti" by the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko. Thus, she commented on the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike drones in the Leningrad region using the airspace of other countries.
"We are receiving new terrorist acts, attacks on our energy infrastructure, civilian facilities and people. And we will not be flexible for everyone, we will not succumb to the threats of Europeans or anyone. We have issued very tough warnings to these countries," the senator said.
According to her, official Vilnius has already tried to justify itself by saying that the Ukrainian side has been warned that it does not have permission to fly over the territory of Lithuania.
"That is, we shook them off, and they realized that if they continue to continue, they will be our legitimate targets, because Russia is being attacked from their territory. They understood it, I think they will crawl away now, they won't say it out loud, but they will crawl away," Matvienko predicted.
As EADaily reported, at the end of March, Lithuanian Vice Defense Minister Thomas Godlyauskas demanded that Kiev inform the Baltic countries about drones flying into their territory.
