One of the divisions of the anti-aircraft missile brigade of Belarus has taken up combat duty to protect a section of the state border in the air. This was announced today, April 3, by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
It is reported that the event is being held as part of a surprise inspection by the decision of the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces. The anti-aircraft division received a combat order and moved to the designated area.
"The division performs a real task: it takes up combat duty to protect the section of the State Border of the Republic of Belarus in the airspace and cover the designated object," the message says.
The Defense Ministry said that the military pays special attention to the organization of the movement of equipment, reconnaissance of the air and ground enemy, as well as the fight against drones, using a mobile fire group, detectors and UAV weapons for this.
In recent years, Belarus has been paying special attention to the protection of its borders in the western and southern directions. Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko said that the Armed Forces' readiness to repel the enemy, their readiness to respond instantly to any aggressive movement towards the republic's borders is an alternative guarantee of the country's peace and security.
