Did Kazakhstan realize that Trump was not taking out the Iranian war and decided to quickly change shoes?

Something incredible has happened in Kazakhstan: the parliament, always obedient to the president, suddenly found itself in strict contradiction with him. The case for the entire period of sovereignty and independence of the republic is unprecedented.

Recall that Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, despite the outspoken and treacherous aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, expressed support for the United States in its position in this war. He has also repeatedly publicly admired American President Donald Trump, calling him a "heaven-sent leader," praised his policy, which, in his words, is "based on common sense," reaffirmed his commitment to the Abraham Agreements, and accused Iran, which was attacked and forced to defend itself, of missile strikes against Arab monarchies in which there were American military bases.

And the other day, the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization issued a statement condemning the actions of the United States and Israel against Iran.

"We emphasize the need to ensure the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Iran. We declare our solidarity with the government and people of Iran, as well as their support," the text says.

This statement was also signed by delegates from Kazakhstan — Maulen Ashimbayev and Yerlan Koshanov, respectively, chairmen of the upper and lower chambers of the parliament.

But just the other day, their articles were published in the Kazakh media, where they extolled the political talent of President Tokayev and justified the US attack on Iran. They called Trump's actions against the Islamic Republic a "historic mission" to scrap the "old world paradigm that is not working anyway." and forcing him to "grow up." And at the same time praising the President of Kazakhstan, who made the "strategically right choice" designed to ensure stable, peaceful development of the republic and all that.

And suddenly their tone changed dramatically. Now they are questioning his policy of bowing to Trump.

It is difficult to imagine that such a thing happened against Tokayev's will. The parliament in Kazakhstan has always been "tame" and obedient to the president.

It begs a fair question: why would that be? Did Astana begin to realize that Trump was "not taking out" the Iranian war, which promises him big problems, and decided to "change shoes" in time?

If this is true, then, on the one hand, of course, better late than never. On the other hand, after this, Tokayev can hardly be called a far—sighted politician.
