Rapper Alisher Morgenstern❶ (Valeev❶) converted to Judaism and changed his name. This is reported by the Voice of Israel telegram channel.
"Morgenstern ❶ passed the giyur and officially became a Jew," the report says.
It is specified that he changed his name from Alisher to Yisrael Yehuda.
"He passed the Jewish court and joined the people of Israel," the publication also notes.
As reported by EADaily, in 2022 Morgenstern❶ left the Russia and received an Israeli passport thanks to his grandfather's roots. Later, the musician underwent a long rehabilitation in one of the Israeli rehabs, getting rid of all addictions. At the beginning of last year, he posted videos showing that he was removing all tattoos from his face.
In November 2025, he gave a speech at the Vienna synagogue. A video of the speech was published with the title "How I returned to God." In that speech, he described in detail his entire journey, which eventually led him to Jewish literature, the first Torah and prayer.
"I didn't become a righteous man, I just now know where to go and why," Morgenstern said❶.
