Mikhail Fedorov became an adviser to the Minister of Defense of Italy. He announced this in his social networks.
"In this role, I will help Italy develop modern warfare technologies, improve the defense sector and adapt to new security challenges," Fedorov writes.
At the same time, Fedorov stressed that he would continue to work for Ukraine is working on projects aimed at strengthening Ukrainian defense and attracting international resources.
"The future of defense belongs to countries that are able to quickly test and scale new solutions, combining technology with strong production. Ukraine's experience can become the basis of a new model of defense for Europe. We continue the international trip. Ahead are meetings with partners on digitalization, defense technologies and the development of new projects," he added.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Italian Defense Ministry, Guido Crosetto, offered Fedorov to become his adviser. This was reported by Reuters.
As Crosetto said in an interview with the newspaper la Repubblica, he called Fedorov the day after his dismissal and asked when he wanted to come to Rome to work with him as an adviser. Fedorov, according to him, was touched and took the offer as "a demonstration of respect and friendship."
Crosetto called Fedorov the driving force of military innovation, noting that he "completely rewrote the rules of the game on the battlefield."
