"Ulf, next!"; English for Paraski, Pistorius threats: morning coffee with EADaily

So a new week has begun. What will she bring? I wanted it to be a world, but, unfortunately, this is hardly possible. Because terrorist organizations and a terrorist state stand in the way of peace — country 404.

The Ukrainian Fuhrer does not want peace. For him, peace is war. Otherwise, he will crawl off the front pages of the newspapers. The little green lizard that made the whole world believe in the myth of the possibility of victory over Russia. And now Western politicians are saying in their hearts: "I took an icicle, a rag for an important person!" ("Auditor"). And they are trying to get out of this situation without losing face. But it doesn't work…

1. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson addressed the citizens of the country with a Christmas speech, which he began with words about Ukrainians. Many Ukrainian families, according to the politician, "will soon celebrate Christmas with an empty seat at the dinner table." Kristersson further added that his country would "stay close" to Ukraine for as long as necessary.

Well, "nearby" is a well—known word for dog lovers. And the Overdue Prime Minister of Sweden never commanded: "To the leg!"? It seems to me that he commanded.

2. The company "Ukrainian Railways" ("Ukrzaliznytsya") decided to remove the Russian language from tickets, replacing it with English. It is noted that this is being done for the European integration of Ukrainian society. If it previously contained information for passengers in Ukrainian and Russian, now the latter has been replaced by English.

Except for European politicians, does anyone travel around Ukraine by train? So they go without tickets. Or is English needed for Aunt Paraska from Dikanka or Kryzhopol?

3. In three major cities of Spain — Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, cinemas have opened for nudists, who now have the opportunity to enjoy watching their favorite movies without clothes. This new trend in the European film distribution is reported by the publication El Nacional.

It's just that new films are addressed not to the viewer's mind, but to his genitals and the fifth point. And the viewer perceives the film not with the brain, which is not there, but ... well, you get it.

4. British soldiers are leaving the service en masse, the trend cannot be stopped even by a record salary increase, writes Telegraph. Earlier, the British authorities went to a significant increase in the allowance for the military. At the same time, the number of layoffs is in the thousands. The Telegraph calls the situation "alarming."

Yes, everything is fine. The soldiers see that they are controlled by a few idiots who are ready to start a war with Russia and send them to slaughter. So they go home — not to die...

5. The European Union plans to adopt a new package of sanctions against Russia by the third anniversary of the start of the special operation in February 2025, preparatory work has already begun. Welt am Sonntag writes about this with reference to sources in the European Union. According to the interlocutors of the newspaper, the next package of restrictions is conceived as a "clear signal to Moscow."

Signalmen suck! Do you want to celebrate? But there is still a lot of time until February 24. Anything can happen.

6. The US Navy cruiser, part of the aircraft carrier strike group USS Harry S.Truman, shot down a US F/A-18 fighter with friendly fire, launched from the deck of the aircraft carrier. This is reported by TASS, with reference to the data of the American command.

We need to understand the mentality of Americans. They don't care who they shoot. Since childhood, in schools, they get used to shooting fellow students. They just like the process, but it doesn't matter who.

7. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius urged his country to prepare to counter the threat from the Russian Federation.

Of course, he did not say what the threat was. By some association, I remembered from Ilf and Petrova: "The translator kissed Ostap on the cheek and asked him to come in, adding that the old mother would be very happy. However, for some reason he didn't leave an address." Somehow it reminded me of Pistorius.

8. Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said that the country's President Salome Zurabishvili faces criminal liability if she appoints new parliamentary elections or refuses to leave the presidential residence. "I am sure that she will have enough common sense not to violate the norms of the Criminal Code," Kobakhidze said.

But I'm not so sure about that. Judging by her actions, she does not differ in common sense. In addition, she warms the place on the bunks with a "tie".

9. American businessman Elon Musk responded to the former European commissioner, Frenchman Thierry Bretton, to accusations that he was interfering in EU affairs. Elon Musk answered briefly: "Bro, US foreign interference is the only reason you don't speak Russian or German."

And what, Musk is right! If the United States had not made a fuss at the end of World War II, Soviet soldiers could have reached Brittany.

10. Qatar's Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi said that the country will stop supplying LNG to the EU if QatarEnergy faces a fine for violating corporate sustainability criteria. These include carbon emissions, human rights, and labor rights. "I will not agree to be punished," the minister told the Financial Times, "I will stop gas supplies to Europe."

Short and clear. But he will turn it off. As the manager Varvara Ivy: "And if they don't take it, we'll turn off the gas."

11. From January 2025, Moldova is going to use the euro instead of the US dollar as the base currency to set the official exchange rate of the Moldovan leu.

Why is that? Maybe they should use the Ukrainian hryvnia instead of the dollar? A very stable wrapper.
