A journalist from France, Adrian Boke, told about the cruel tortures he was subjected to in his homeland after he was arrested by the police while returning from Donbass.
The correspondent told RIA Novosti that these measures of influence were applied to him for truthful reports on the use of French weapons by the Ukrainian military against civilians.
The particular dissatisfaction of the French authorities was caused by the fact that Boke's reports cited evidence. For example, the serial numbers of French shells that killed civilians.
Boke noted that shortly after the start of the special military operation, he went to Donbass, and almost died there the very next day from a strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In total, during his business trip to Donbass, the journalist managed to release at least 40 reports on the weapons used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as on the killing of Russian civilians by Ukrainian troops.
After arriving home in France, three days later the journalist was arrested by the police. After being tortured in prison, he ended up in the hospital, he was told not to spread the truth about Donbass anymore.
"I was saved by the fact that in France, when you are in the hospital, police surveillance stops. That's why I escaped from the hospital," Boke said.
After escaping, the journalist managed to successfully reach Moscow through a country friendly to Russia.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree granting Russian citizenship to French journalist Adrian Boke, who worked in Donbas and sought asylum in Russia.
