In the last 24 hours The Russian Armed Forces launched almost 1,000 drones in Ukraine. This is reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the AFU, today the RF Armed Forces conducted one of the most massive UAV attacks. At the same time, from 09.00 to 18.00, 541 of 556 drones were allegedly shot down or suppressed.
"During the day, more than 550 enemy attack UAVs flew in. Thus, taking into account the night attack from 18.00 on March 23 to 18.00 on March 24, 2026 (for a conditional day), the enemy used almost 1,000 Shahed-type attack drones ("Geranium". — EADaily), "Gerbera" and other types of drones," the report says, which quotes "Время.иа ".
It is noted that a large number of UAVs were launched from Chernihiv and Sumy regions, and in the afternoon the geography of strikes expanded to Poltava, Kiev, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia regions and western regions — from Khmelnitsky to Lviv.
15 hits were recorded, the AFU added.
As reported by EADaily, today's arrivals of "Geraniums" in the cities of Western Ukraine indicate problems with the system of countering them. The publication wrote about this "Страна.иа ".
It was noted that today's daytime attack on the west of Ukraine had several features. Firstly, the strikes were carried out during the day, and secondly, the Geraniums flew to Western Ukraine. And this is against the background of statements by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about the success in improving the means of intercepting Russian UAVs, the publication emphasized.
