Iran's ability to threaten the Strait of Hormuz has been weakened by the bombing of an underground storage facility for cruise missiles and other weapons. This was stated in the social network X by the head of CENTCOM, Admiral Brad Cooper.
"We not only destroyed the facility, but also destroyed reconnaissance support points and missile radar repeaters that were used to monitor the movement of ships… Iran's ability to threaten freedom of navigation in The Strait of Hormuz and around it is declining as a result, and we will not stop pursuing these goals," Cooper writes, quoted by The Guardian.
As EADaily reported, 22 countries are ready to contribute to ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz. It is reported by the British The Guardian with reference to the corresponding statement.
Among the signatories are mainly European countries, including the UK, Germany, France, as well as Japan, South Korea, the UAE and Bahrain.
