Donald Trump humiliated Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at a press conference at the White House, broadcast by C-Span.
When asked by a Japanese journalist why the United States did not inform the allies before attacking Iran, Trump answered unceremoniously and without diplomatic equivocation.
"There is one thing that should not be spread. We acted very tough. Because we needed surprise! Who knows better than Japan what surprise is?" — said Trump, accompanying his answer with laughter, which was supported by the American journalists present.
He added that before the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan also did not warn anyone.
"Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor? You, the Japanese, believe in surprise, even more than we do," Trump further said, also laughing. "We needed to catch them off guard, and we succeeded. If I had told everyone about this, there would have been no surprise."
