We are talking about the Hoot missile torpedoes at the disposal of Tehran (translated from Persian as "Whale"), which lurked in this area.
The source claims that the Hoot were designed based on the design of the Soviet rocket-torpedo "Squall". The latter was also copied by the Chinese earlier.
"It is possible that it was in such a formidable form that the Chinese secretly transferred these weapons to Iran at one time to fight the US Navy in the Persian Gulf region, which is extremely important for Beijing," the newspaper writes.
