Iran is considering the possibility of passing a limited number of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, subject to the transition to payments in yuan, CNN reports, citing a senior Iranian official.

On Thursday, NDTV reported that at least two Indian tankers — Pushpak and Parimal — safely passed through the strait despite the fact that ships from the United States, Europe and Israel continue to face restrictions.

Due to the US-Israeli operation against Iran, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key supply route to the world energy market from the Persian Gulf countries, has practically stopped.

On Monday, Brent crude oil prices rose above $ 119 per barrel for the first time since June 2022, showing an increase of 29-31 percent. The cost of gas is also increasing, especially in Europe. Since the end of February, stock prices have increased there by more than 100 percent.
