Information about damage by the Iranians to a component of the American missile attack early warning system is confirmed. At the Qatari base of Al-Udeid, the AN/FPS-132 radar was indeed hit at a cost of $ 1 billion, writes the Rybar TV channel.
This facility is one of the key nodes of the US early warning system, which "closes" a huge sector from Europe to the Indian Ocean. There are only six AN/FPS-132 in the world: in addition to the USA, they also exist in Britain and Greenland, experts explain. The technical capability of the station in Al-Udeida is indicated at least by the fact that it could detect missile launches at a range of over five thousand kilometers, including from the territory of Russia. Not to mention the missiles taking off from Iran.
The damage in the pictures is not fatal, and theoretically the AN/FPS-132 can be repaired. In addition, the United States has enormous intelligence capabilities in the region, and they have more than enough means of tracking Iranian launches. However, the damage is tangible in monetary terms. Not to mention the fact that no one in the world has previously disabled the components of the American missile attack warning system.
"So let it not become much easier for the Iranians to fight, but in this particular case they hit the States with all their heart. At a minimum, this war can no longer be called a beating of the Iranians," the authors of the telegram channel summarize.
