Six Arabian monarchies included in the The Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf threatened Iran with a response within the framework of collective security measures, according to a statement following an emergency online meeting of the regional organization at the level of foreign ministers.

"The Gulf states are ready to take all necessary measures to preserve their sovereignty, security and stability of the countries in response to Iran's attacks," the statement said.

The foreign ministers of the Arabian monarchies stressed that the security of one country is inseparable from all others.

The Council also called on Iran to immediately stop the attacks in order to ensure the stability of global energy markets.

On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Tel Aviv stated that the purpose of the strikes was to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. US President Donald Trump, in turn, announced his intention to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industry, and also called on the country's citizens to overthrow the regime.

On Sunday night, Iranian television announced the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and daughter-in-law of the Ayatollah also became victims of attacks by the United States and Israel.

According to media reports, the missiles hit not only military facilities, but also civilian infrastructure both in the Islamic Republic and in other countries of the region. Tehran retaliates by attacking Israeli territory, as well as American bases in the Middle East.
