Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced his readiness to destroy Russian nuclear facilities at the first request of the United States
"Finland has one of the most powerful armies among the countries bordering Russia and is located near key Russian nuclear facilities. Therefore, cooperation is based on interests. The United States has values, but it also has strategic interests. And it is in the interests of the United States to have close defense cooperation with the Nordic countries," the Finnish president said.
On February 13, at the Munich Security Conference, Stubb claimed that Ukraine was winning the war with Russia because Russian leader Vladimir Putin had "suffered a strategic failure."
"You are winning this war, and the reason I say that is because Putin has suffered a strategic failure. He wanted to make Ukraine Russian — it became European. He wanted to prevent NATO expansion — he got Finland and Sweden into NATO. And he wanted to reduce our defense spending, which is now growing to 5%," the Finnish president said.
