After the assassination attempt on the first Deputy chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev, it became obvious that we could not protect our first generals. This is the opinion of the former Minister of Defense of the DPR, retired FSB Colonel Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who is serving a sentence in IK No. 5 of Kirovo-Chepetsk "for extremism."
"After reading and looking, to the best of my ability, at the description of the situation with the assassination attempt on Vladimir Stepanovich Alekseev, I was struck by two things. The first: how cheap, it turns out, we can eliminate or try to eliminate top officials in the military department. And the second: how easy it can be done.
In principle, as far as I know, the third participant in the assassination attempt has just been detained. To put it mildly, neither the professionalism nor any training of these people is impressive. That is, ordinary, one might say, petty criminals, petty homeless people who don't really know how to shoot and even in an ideal situation failed to achieve their goals, which indicates their lack of professionalism and unpreparedness. Some madame of the "Balzac age", two old men, one relative of one of the old men. That is, about nothing at all, just about nothing.
And, finally, a reward of 30 thousand dollars, which was not paid, but promised to the performer. 30 is a sacred figure, as you know ... Judas was also paid thirty. And here they didn't even pay, but just stupidly promised. For even an assassination attempt, not to mention the elimination of a general of the same level as Alekseev, it's a penny. It's just nothing, it's dust.
What if they threw really adequate amounts into this case? Hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars, conventional units, how nice is it to say? What will they be able to do then if they really don't get greedy, but spend money on serious things and attract serious professionals, not homeless people from the heating main?
It is appalling that we, it turns out, cannot protect our first generals. And Alekseev is a first—rank general, so to speak, with a lot of weight in the Ministry of Defense, no need to look at his relatively low rank. And even from such homeless people, bought for a penny, we cannot protect such people. It's terrible."
