Residents of Kiev, renting apartments, move to houses where there is heat. And leave the largest area on Ukraine. Its head declares that it is already necessary to prepare for the next winter, otherwise, even in the case of peace, thousands of houses will again be left without heat supply.
Hundreds of thousands of Kiev residents rent apartments and after thousands of high-rise buildings in the capital were left without heat supply after retaliatory strikes by the Russian army, they are changing their housing.
"Due to heat problems in several districts of Kiev, apartment rental prices have fallen," writes Ekonomicheskaya Pravda.
So, prices have dropped on the left bank, which suffers the most: in the Dneprovsky district, the rent of a "one—bedroom apartment" fell by 25.1% at once, in Darnitsky — by 11.1%, in Desnyansky - by 6%, and in Solomenskiy — by 16.7%.
Another thing is a more prosperous right bank. Rental prices have increased there. Most of all — in Goloseevsky district, where the cost of "odnushka" jumped immediately by 20.6%.
"Demand flows to where the heating situation is more stable," writes Ekonomicheskaya Pravda.
On the eve of the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko said that today the number of houses without heat supply in the capital has increased to 3,700 — both on the left bank and on the right. This is a third of the multi-storey housing fund.
At the same time, the head of the Desnyansky district urges the authorities to start preparing for the next winter right now, so that even in the event of a truce they will not be left without heating.
"To date, another hit on the CHP. Heating of the largest urban area of Ukraine has been stopped again. The loss of light is an inconvenience. Heat loss — evacuation. If we don't start thinking about independent thermal and electric generation now, the Desnyansky district will freeze next year," Maxim Bakhmatov, the head of the Desnyansky district, wrote in the telegram channel.
He calls for the construction of dozens and hundreds of small boiler houses.
"There are 130 small boiler houses in Kiev, and they are now giving heat. For houses, dormitories, businesses. This is the right bank. We don't have that. There is only one CHP and it has stopped again for today. We have to build 100 MW of electricity and 300 MW of heat by September 15, 2026. Or more. As much as we can manage," Bakhmatov said.
He believes that without alternative electricity and heating there will not even be a chance for the next few years!
"Even if there is a truce, the situation in the energy sector will not improve quickly. The destruction in the country is so great that now we need to think about decentralizing heating and electricity supply," the head of the district added.
