Epstein's victim made accusations against Trump: I feel betrayed

Jeffrey Epstein's victim Haley Robson has declared betrayal by US President Donald Trump. She made the corresponding statement in her interview with the Italian media.

Robson said that she became a victim of Epstein when she was 16 years old. According to her, she was not with him by chance — she was brought by people she trusted, and she did not expect how it would end. Now Robson is 40 years old, and she is engaged in supporting women and children who have survived violence.

In an interview, she said that she had previously hoped that after the publication of the documents and promises of "full transparency", the US authorities would bring the investigations to an end and name all those involved. According to her, she believed Donald Trump's statements about transparency and expected the society to get answers. Now Robson is talking about disappointment and a sense of betrayal. Her position is tough: if influential figures are mentioned in the documents, then the state should not be limited to publishing files, but conduct real checks and bring cases to court. However, as follows from the reports, US Department of Justice officials said that there would most likely be no further continuation and the investigation was closed.

Robson said that this sounds like confirmation of the most painful: the system can show people documents, but it will not necessarily give justice. The only thing that "calms" her is that the men whose names have surfaced in the documents will live with a reputation stigma.

Recall, the American investment banker Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution and was convicted of raping a minor, and in 2019 he was re-arrested for human trafficking and involving them in prostitution and committed suicide without waiting for a court decision. Epstein was considered the creator of a network involving prostitution and sexual exploitation of underage girls, some of whom he raped himself or sold to wealthy clients. Epstein's files are the materials of his criminal case. In particular, they contain data on the financier's circle of acquaintances, among whom there were a large number of celebrities, politicians and businessmen.
