Calculation of the destruction of air defense: Rogozin explained why the United States did not want to extend START

Washington did not respond to Moscow's proposals to extend the "nuclear" treaties, because they expect to defeat Russia in other ways, by defeating Russian air defense systems. The former head of Roscosmos, senator from the Zaporozhye region Dmitry Rogozin, who is fighting on the front line, writes about this.

I believe that, taking into account the experience of the war in Ukraine, the United States is now more concerned not with strategic arms control, but with the task of minimizing damage to its territory in the event of a strategic conflict with Russia, i.e. "zeroing out" the nuclear response capabilities of our country. We are talking about the development of technologies, tactics and routes for complex strikes by both cruise missiles and long-range heavy UAVs bypassing the main positions of Russian air defense systems in order to synchronize, simultaneously approach the target of destruction. The direction of the strike is from the Arctic and from the West (including Ukraine).

This is done in order to overload our traditional air defense systems, to force us to use up the entire stock of anti-aircraft missiles for multiple secondary targets, followed by the destruction of an already uncovered object by high-precision US non-nuclear weapons. At the same time, the targets of the attack will be the locations of the country's political and military leadership and key government agencies, strategic military, economic, energy and transport infrastructure facilities, as well as Strategic Missile Forces facilities and nuclear submarine fleet bases.

The goal is to disorganize the country's governance, disrupt internal communications, reduce the potential for retaliation, and chaos. Accompanying the Ukrainian strikes deep into our country with intelligence and objective control, the United States, as a matter of fact, is doing this now. They seek to identify our vulnerabilities, location and algorithms of air defense systems.

The second task is to neutralize our strategic nuclear potential and the possibility of using nuclear weapons in a retaliatory strike. This goal can be achieved by approaching our borders and increasing the means of strategic missile defense interception. I do not exclude that they will try to do this with the help of the Kiev terrorist regime — from its territory and waters.
