The military correspondent doubts: The APU will not be able to determine where their "Starlinks" are and where ours are

Information about the disconnection of Starlinks from both sides of the front line can only partially take place, said reserve officer military correspondent Oleg Marzoev, commenting on the information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had interruptions with Starlink after the start of terminal verification.

"As for Starlink systems, it was obvious even at the dawn of their use: since they are manufactured and controlled by the enemy, then no matter how and wherever their accounts are registered, but the enemy, seeing where the front line runs, sees on the map where they are "Starlinks“, and where are ours. That's all. Accordingly, this has the following problems: 1) they, to one degree or another, can listen to and read us when using Starlink, as any telecom operator can do; 2) they, seeing the location of the plates, make a simple conclusion about the location of our units; 3) they, after waiting for us to use this satellite connection publicly or secretly in their Of course, they can cut it down overnight and use this factor for counter—actions at the front," Marzoev described the situation.

Obviously, he noted, that's why "Starlinks" were banned for use, but life made adjustments.

"And it was done cunningly, not just accounts were registered in Kazakhstan or European countries (since in Russia's "Starlink" is officially disabled) at first, but over time they began to register them on Ukrainian accounts. This was a panacea for the time being, they were not blocked. But now the enemy has decided to introduce a system that will somehow decide where their, Ukrainian, terminals, accounts are, and where they are not. Let's see how it will be," Marzoev said.

According to him, information about the disconnection of Starlinks from both sides of the front line can only partially take place, "because if they can turn off all the complexes from our side, then from the side of the Ukro-NATO troops it could have touched only some individual private plates, but it certainly did not touch their military management, which from and to is tied to the system "Starlink“ Ilona Mask." The same one, the officer stressed, who stated that he was against its use for military purposes, and the one who has now harmed our troops after an open appeal to him by the Ukrainian command.

"But nothing, there is a silver lining, and this will serve as a powerful incentive for the development of domestic terminals: Russia has its own satellite systems, they have been at the front for a long time, officially and widely distributed, by definition safer and possess, diplomatically speaking, unlimited potential for development and improvement. What, we must be sure, our techies will do now with tripled force," concluded Marzoev.
