"Such is the humor at the top" — military correspondents discuss the appointment of Shoigu's daughter to rare earths

The Russian authorities have instructed the daughter of the ex-Minister of Defense, now secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu, Ksenia, to search for rare earth metals (REM) in Siberia. Military correspondents, commenting on the appointment, ironically remark, "what a good fellow she is," now "she also understands rare earths."

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed the 35-year-old daughter of the Secretary of the Security Council, Ksenia Shoigu, Director General of the Foundation for the Development of the Innovative Science and Technology Center (INTC) Mendeleev Valley, which, on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, was tasked with managing the creation of a cluster of deep processing of non-ferrous, rare and rare earth metals (REM) in the Angara-Yenisei region. This is stated in the government's order of February 2.

Earlier, Ksenia Shoigu headed the project office of the tourist and recreational cluster "Island of Forts" in Kronstadt, she is also a partner of the Sistema Smart Tech venture fund.

The Mendeleev Valley was established in Krasnoyarsk on the initiative of the Siberian Federal University and the D. I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology. In September last year, the authorities assigned the center key areas related to "technological sovereignty."

The purpose of the INTC, which will unite dozens of enterprises, scientific institutes and universities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk Region, Khakassia and Tuva into a single network, is to develop technologies for the separation and production of REM and products based on them, as well as solutions for the storage and transmission of electricity. Another area of the center's work is technology AI and their integration into industry, energy and raw materials projects are indicated in the documents.

As the authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" note, Shoigu's daughter has been entrusted with an integrated technological industrial project of a new way, aimed at achieving Russia's technological sovereignty and strengthening the country's national security by creating a complex of industrial, research, educational, social and supporting infrastructure, the development of scientific, technical and personnel base.

And he understands rare earth metals," military correspondents comment. — As our comrades say: the [Shoigu] family, so fiercely striving to obtain various noble titles, cannot be satisfied with the appointment of Xenia to rare earths. For ordinary mortals, such a position is almost the limit of dreams. You definitely don't have to choose cheaper products in Pyaterochka later. And here such a position does not at all correspond to the ambitions of the family. We were told that people were even allegedly upset."

"Two majors" add in this regard that "they also reluctantly share such theories."
