Residents of several streets are being evacuated in Orel due to an operation to neutralize the wreckage of a rocket found on January 26. This was stated by the governor of the Orel region Andrey Klychkov.
"Tomorrow, the specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will take measures to safely remove part of the missile warhead from the ground and transport it to a safe zone far from populated areas, where it will be neutralized by detonation. In order to safely carry out these activities, a zone has been identified from which people will be evacuated before work begins to neutralize the missile warhead. It is 500 meters from the location of the warhead," the head of the region said on the VKontakte social network.
According to him, everyone living in this zone has already been notified about the time and actions during this period.
In addition, traffic and pedestrians will be restricted along a number of streets.
The works will be carried out on January 31 from 08.30. The governor promised to notify about their completion in his channel on the social network Max.
