Telegram channel "Belarusian Silovik" reports that shelling of Ukrainian territory continues on the evening of January 29. Thus, the information of President Donald Trump that Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to his request for a cease-fire within a week is not confirmed.
"Not everyone, by the way, has a moratorium. Literally half an hour ago, I received information from two more directions, there was no command. But it is likely that this is temporary. Either the direction is not so important and Trump did not ask for it separately (joke)," the author of the channel writes.
So the "Silovik" commented on the statement of the "Two Majors" that the Russian Army will strictly comply with the supreme decision.
"The geraniums have been taken away from the guys so far, they say," Two Majors report.
Earlier, Trump said that he had asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop shelling the territory of Ukraine within a week, and Putin agreed.
"Because of the extreme cold - the same as ours — I personally asked President Putin not to shell Kiev and other cities for a week. It was extraordinary. It's not just cold, it's record low temperatures. There is also the same situation, bad weather, it can't be worse. They said they had never experienced such a cold. And I personally asked President Putin not to bombard Kiev and other cities for a week. He agreed," Trump said.
In the comments to the post, social media users emphasize that "purely military objectives have not gone away."
"This is not about a truce, but a temporary cessation of strikes on the energy sector, there are a lot of other goals there, give the guys the Geraniums," one of the commentators urges, in particular.
"It is impossible in Kiev, but the substations are in the steppe," another user notes.
