A photo of Nicolas Maduro appeared on the network allegedly after being detained by American special forces.
In the image, the Venezuelan president is standing in front of a US military transport plane and is being held by special forces. It is not known how much the photo corresponds to reality.
As EADaily reported, the United States attacked Venezuela this morning. Missile strikes hit military bases, airfields, ports and other strategic facilities. Donald Trump said that US special forces captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and took them out of the country.
Senator Mike Lee said that he spoke on the phone with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and he told why the missile strikes on Caracas were needed.
"He informed me that Nicolas Maduro was arrested by American military personnel for trial on criminal charges in The United States," the senator wrote in X.
Also, according to Lee, Rubio said that the missile strikes were carried out to distract and protect those who executed the warrant for Maduro's arrest.
