Citizens of Ukraine are afraid of holding elections in wartime. This was stated in an interview with PAP by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
"Undoubtedly, all Ukrainians are afraid of holding elections in wartime," Zelensky said, quoted by "Время.иа ".
Zelensky once again noted that the organization of elections in conditions of war would require changes in legislation, while noting that no one can imagine how to hold them in such circumstances "safely and honestly."
"However, I want to emphasize that if there is an opportunity to ensure the safety of people during such elections, so that people simply do not get killed when they come to the polling stations, then I'm all for it," he said.
As EADaily reported, Russia is ready to think about ensuring security during the presidential elections in Ukraine. This was stated during a direct line by Russian President Vladimir Putin. "At least refrain from striking deep into the territory… I agree that the authorities on Ukraine must eventually become legitimate, and this is impossible without holding elections," Putin said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Recall, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, rejected the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to allow Ukrainians living in Russia to vote in the elections. This was reported by the publication "Время.иа ".
