The farewell ceremony for Soviet and Russian pianist, composer and TV presenter, People's Artist of Russia Levon Oganezov took place on December 16 in White Plains (New York). This was reported by the artist's relatives on the social network page.
After the farewell ceremony, the musician was buried at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York, where the grave of the Russian composer, outstanding pianist and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) is also located.
Also buried in this cemetery is the writer Ayn Rand (Alice Zinovievna Rosenbaum) (1905-1982).
As reported by EADaily, Levon Oganezov died at the age of 85, on December 13, not having lived up to the anniversary for about two weeks. He died after a long struggle with cancer.
